Bengals looking to continue tradition of success against Browns

POSTED BY: GIOVANI BERNARD in NEWS

The Cincinnati Bengals lead the all-time regular season series against the Cleveland Browns 46-39 and are the largest favorites among NFL teams this weekend, being favored by 10.5 points when they host the Browns on Sunday.

The Bengals and Browns are in the same division, the AFC North, which means they play each other twice every season. The Bengals beat the Browns in both games in 2015 by a combined score of 68-13. The Bengals have finished with a better record than the Browns in each of the past five seasons.

Each team hosts one of the games in their home stadium. The Bengals have won six out of the last seven games against the Browns which have been held in Cincinnati.

Some of the Bengals’ players have had great individual success against the Browns.

In 2012, Bengals quarterback Andy Dalton had two of his top three passing games of the season against the Browns, and he threw for three touchdowns in each of those games. In the Bengals’ two wins over the Browns in 2015, Dalton passed for a combined 454 yards and five touchdowns; he also ran for a touchdown in their second meeting.

Bengals wide receiver A.J. Green’s best receiving game in 2012 came against the Browns; it was also his only multiple touchdown game of the season. In the teams’ second meeting in 2015, Green caught five passes for 128 yards and a touchdown.

The Browns are winless this season at 0-6. The Bengals are 2-4, and a win would help them in the division which the Pittsburg Steelers are currently leading at 4-2.
